In the article, the CEO reflects on his early days working in production roles and the time when OKNOPLAST was just beginning to enter Western markets. He recalls that the company’s debut abroad was particularly challenging. At the time, products from Polish brands were often perceived in the West as being of low quality. German and French companies viewed Polish entrepreneurs with skepticism, and building trust and a solid reputation required immense effort and determination. The company had to not only prove the quality of its products but also overcome prejudices and stereotypes about Polish manufacturing. Through consistent investment in top-tier standards and innovation, OKNOPLAST managed to change that perception.

OKNOPLAST is improving its business position thanks to growing sales and increased presence in foreign markets. This enables the company’s management to pursue bolder investments — with an estimated cost of nearly 25 million euros over the coming years. The company also plans to increase its market share both in Poland and across European markets, as well as to continue its expansion into North American markets.

Expansion into foreign markets and growing domestic demand mean a constant increase in production, which in turn necessitates securing larger warehouse spaces for storing materials with various specifications. The high-bay warehouse is being built for a simple reason — in the future, the company may run out of space dedicated entirely to storing materials sensitive to weather conditions and therefore requiring the highest storage standards.

The volume of the new warehouse is impressive. The facility will be 15 meters high, allowing for maximized efficient use of storage space. Its total volume will be 29,557.8 cubic meters, which will accommodate up to 1,800 specialized pallets fully stocked with various components. This will make it one of the largest storage spaces of its kind in the building joinery industry in Poland.

The new investment will increase the company’s level of automation. Not a single person will work inside the warehouse. This aligns with global trends—such projects are designed from the outset to be highly automated.

What does this mean specifically in this case? Profiles for manufacturing sashes, frames, and mullions, as well as steel for reinforcements, will be automatically assembled and delivered to the production preparation department. This will significantly streamline the entire production process.

Not only will the company benefit, but above all its customers, as orders will be fulfilled faster and with even higher quality.
